I have 2 main series that I focus on. The first is an urban landscape series, drawn from experience, where I paint from memory and emotion. The second is more conceptual/abstract/stream of consciousness, containing scenes of shaty towns stacked upon each other and geometries floating in space.
With my landscape series I use a wet-on-wet watercolor technique with oil on canvas. It's an expressive technique to create a feeling or memory.
When I'm doing more expressive, fantasy-based or abstract pieces, collage is used to commemorate relics of the past. Mixed media and assemblage can be a tool for turning a 2d concept into a sculpture. Anything is fair game for materials in this series.
