How to Apply

Please Read the FAQ first by clicking here.

1. Fill out the following application form completely and Submit it by clicking on Submit onceAll fields with an asterisk (*) are required and if not filled out will cause an error, prompting you to fill them in.  Please make sure you have cookies enabled for the site in case of a mistake, otherwise your info will be lost and the form cleared.  Do Not click on the Submit button more than once, otherwise you will disrupt the form’s process and/or we will get multiple applications from you.  Allow the form up to a couple of minutes to process your data.  You will see a screen afterwards stating that the info was received if it was successful.  You will Not receive an automated email confirmation of your submission at this time, though we will have received your information.

2. Mail a check for $75 to Beacon Hill Art Walk, P.O. Box 171080, Boston, MA 02117.

IMPORTANT RULES / INFORMATION

All artwork MUST be original and handmade by you. No crafts, no jewelry. No mass produced versions of your art will be accepted (this rule holds for photography as well). No prints, giclees, or reproductions. No note cards of any kind. New artists will be accepted based on available locations and availability in their medium and subject matter.

The number of photographers will be limited, and accepted based on the date application is received, type of photography, type of process and subject matter. This applies to returning photographers as well as new applicants, and this number will include mixed-media artists who manipulate photographs, whether digitally or manually. Photographers must describe their process.

There is a limited availability of spaces able to accommodate 10×10 tents and those will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. The same rule applies for spaces with fences to hang art work from. No guarantees can be offered in space assignments until the week before the event. No tents, tables, chairs, etc, will be provided. Setups are full responsibility of the artists.

Please have your pictures (in .jpg format, approximately 500KB ) and Artist Bio information ready to best facilitate completing this form. When you mail your check, you MUST include your name as listed in this form. Please mail your check to: Beacon Hill Art Walk, P.O. Box 171080, Boston, MA 02117.

  • Will be listed on the Beacon Hill Art Walk website -- please feel free to select more than one category to describe your art if desired.

  • Please describe the materials and techniques used in your work.
  • What is the general size range, and price range, of your art? (This helps us to assign spaces.)
  • Submit 3 photos, that are typical of the body of work you would like to exhibit. Images must be in JPEG format (with file extension .jpg) to accompany your information on the Website. File size should be 500 Kilobytes (500KB) or less in size, which scales well at different sizes on the site. Name it in the format of "FirstNameLastName1.jpg" -for example, if your name is Peter Piper, the file name should be PeterPiper1.jpg.

  • Submit 3 photos, that are typical of the body of work you would like to exhibit. (.jpg format approximately 500KB or less, named in the format of "FirstNameLastName2.jpg" -for example, if your name is Peter Piper, the file name should be PeterPiper2.jpg).
  • Submit 3 photos, that are typical of the body of work you would like to exhibit. (.jpg format approximately 500KB or less, named in the format of "FirstNameLastName3.jpg" -for example, if your name is Peter Piper, the file name should be PeterPiper3.jpg).
  • The artwork in the previously uploaded pictures provided to the jury have been made by the applicant.
  • Submit a bio blurb to be posted on beaconhillartwalk.org. (i.e. How long have you been an artist? Where have you studied? Why do you do what you do? Anything you want to post about yourself and/or your artwork.)
  • I WOULD LIKE THE SAME SPACE AS LAST YEAR. (We know where your location was last year.) Please Note: Whenever possible we will accommodate requests, however, NO GUARANTEES are given that you will receive your same space. EARLY BIRD DEADLINE is March 28th: The best chance to reserve your same space or request a new specific location is to apply and pay before this date. After this date, spaces will be filled based on date application is received, seniority and medium, until all locations are full.
  • What is your preferred display equipment? Note:the BHAW does not supply dispay/setup materials, and we make no guarantees on space assignments. The BHAW has a limited number of spaces that will accomadate a 10x10 tent. (You may only bring a tent if you request a tent space here. If tent spaces are full we will contact you.)
  • Payment is by check. Acceptance will be pending on jurying your photos and when payment is received and processed. When we have received your online form AND your check you will receive a confirmation email from us. Be sure to include Artist Name if different than the name printed on check, and send to: Beacon Hill Art Walk, P.O. Box 171080, Boston, MA 02117.

  • By entering my name below and submitting this form to the Beacon Hill Art Walk, I agree that I will hold harmless the Beacon Hill Art Walk, the Beacon Hill Art Walk Committee and its members, the Beacon Hill owners, lessees, and residents whose premises are involved in the Beacon Hill Art Walk, and all of their representatives, volunteers, visitors, participants, heirs, and assigns from any and all claims, charges, actions, liabilities, and damages, that are incurred, suffered, or obtained by me or my representatives in connection with or related to the Beacon Hill Art Walk (collectively "Claims"), and I hereby agree to waive and will not assert, pursue, or attempt to collect upon any Claims against any of the Art Walk Parties.
