I have always considered myself an artist even as I colored outside the lines in my coloring books as a child. I found myself drawn to the colors, shapes and possibilities of transformation in the white space beyond the drawn lines. Although I never pursued art formally for education, I always dabbled in it here and there with collage and occasional classes in color theory, watercolor painting and direct painting workshops with local artists, including Ellen Rolli, MaryAlice Eisenberg, Terri Boutelle and Karen O’Neill. I became a Hyde Park Arts Association studio artist in 2011 with an aim to seriously pursue painting and get my art out there.
