Treeturn is a Boston-based collaboration between Yelena Synkova (woodturner) and Sean Cummings (illustrator). From locally, ecologically harvested wood we create art objects imbued with a sense of place.
The gathering of the wood and the results of processing it are played against observations of and concepts relating to the specific places the wood is gathered, incorporating he particular form and idiosyncracies of the wood surface to tell a story of place.
